Banbury United stay bottom of the Evo-Stik Southern League Premier Division after a 6-1 thrashing at Cambridge City on Saturday.

The hosts opened the scoring on 11 minutes through Fejiri Okenadirhie.

Banbury levelled ten minutes later after Jordan Green was brought down in the area.

Guy Tahin’s penalty struck a post, but hit goalkeeper James Head on the backside and went in.

Cambridge regained the lead in the 62nd minute through Josh Dawkin’s free-kick went into the far corner.

Two minutes later, it was 3-1 when Dawkin rifled home a penalty awarded for handball.

Banbury fell further behind to an Andrew Phillips goal on 70 minutes.

Five minutes later, Phillips lobbed Bedwell from close in, before Buster Harradine’s 25-yard strike in the last minute sealed Banbury’s fate.
