James Reay, 26, of Eastern Avenue, Littlemore, Oxford, admitted stealing two pairs of specialist medical goggles worth £3,000 from Sandford Medical Centre in Sandy Lane West between July 3 and July 18. He was already on conditional discharge from Oxford Magistrates’ Court in July 2013 for handling stolen goods. Given an 18-weeks prison sentence, suspended for 18 months, because the breach of trust was so serious. Ordered to pay back £3,000.

Lisa White, 35, of Luther Street, Oxford, admitted possessing three wraps of heroin, a Class A drug, on October 29 in the centre of Oxford. Fined £100 and ordered to pay a victims’ surcharge of £20.

Paul Steadman, 58, of Underhill Circus, Barton, Oxford, admitted growing 10 cannabis plants, a Class B drug, in Oxford on July 14. Given a three-year conditional discharge because he was cooperative with police, had not been in trouble with the court since 2006 and not had a drug-related conviction since 1998. Ordered to pay a victims’ surcharge of £15.

Thomas Noble, 22, of Old Road, Headington, Oxford, was convicted of using threatening or abusive words or behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm and distress on August 6 in Nuffield Way, Abingdon. He already had a 20-week suspended sentence for battery and driving while disqualified from Oxford Crown Court on July 1. Ordered to pay £150 compensation and £620 in costs.

Andre Duval, 61, of St Helen’s Court, Abingdon, admitted threatening to burn down a property intending that someone would believe his threat would be carried out on September 16 in St Helen’s Court, Abingdon. Given a six-month prison sentence suspended for 24 months because he has a previous conviction of a similar nature and because of the impact on the victim. Made subject to a supervision requirement for 24 months and told to take part in restorative justice and alcohol treatment. Also told to pay an £80 victims’ surcharge and £85 in costs.

Graham George, 48, of Warburg Crescent, Oxford, admitted stealing two bottles of whisky worth £39.98 from Lidl in Watlington Road, Cowley, Oxford, on October 27. Fined £100 and told to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.

Lukasz Pieta, 32, of no fixed address, admitted stealing alcohol worth £54 from Sainsbury’s in the Westgate Shopping Centre, Oxford, on November 8. Given a 20-week prison sentence because of his record of previous convictions and because the offence was committed while he was subject to a suspended sentence order. Told to pay £80 victims’ surcharge.

Patrick Tite, 23, of Green Hitchings, Great Milton, near Oxford, admitted drink-driving in High Street, Wheatley, on August 18. He had 150mg of alcohol in 100ml of blood, above the legal limit of 80mg. Given a 15-month driving ban and fined £250. Also told to pay a £25 victims’ surcharge and £85 in costs.

banbury MAGISTRATES Paul Alderidge, 60, of St James Cottages, Wantage, was convicted of failing to notify the Secretary of State of a transfer of ownership of his car from the trader to himself in Wantage on April 25. Fined £200 and ordered to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £90 costs.

Douglas Coombes, of Green Lane, Milton-under-Wychwood, admitted failing to notify the Secretary of State of the transfer of ownership of his car from the dealer to himself in Chipping Norton on April 7. Fined £135 and ordered to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £90 costs.

Alison Crotch-Harvey, 37, of West End, Wallingford, was convicted of failing to notify the Secretary of State of the transfer of ownership of her vehicle from the dealer to herself in Wallingford on May 1. Fined £200 and ordered to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £90 costs.

Fred Doran, of Weald Street, Weald, was convicted of failing to notify the Secretary of State of the transfer of ownership of his car from the dealer to himself in Bampton on May 7. Fined £200 and ordered to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £90 costs.

Leeann Griffith, 33, of Sorrel Road, Oxford, was convicted of failing to notify the Secretary of State of the transfer of ownership of a car from the dealer to herself in Oxford on May 12. Fined £200 and ordered to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £90 costs.

Michelle Harris of Barford Road, South Newington, near Banbury, was convicted of failing to notify the Secretary of State of the transfer of ownership of a car from the dealer to herself. Fined £200 and ordered to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £90 costs.

Paul Howse of Oxford Hill, Witney, was convicted of keeping an unlicensed vehicle on a public road, Botley Road, Oxford, on May 12. Fined £200 and ordered to pay £37.50 vehicle excise back duty and £90 costs.
