YOU certainly cannot blame the organisers of the Oxfordshire County and Thame Show for milking the town’s excitement.

The show takes place tomorrow with thousands of people expected at the Kingsey Road showground.

Andrew Duffy, chairman of the show, said: “The adrenaline is flowing as we are getting set up. There is always not enough time and too much to do, but we are getting there.

“I was talking to someone in Thame earlier who said it is just for farmers, but that’s not the case at all. We have got a lot of different retailers here and there are some arts and craft people here.

“Our ambition is that there is something for everyone.”

The day will feature a sheep show, showjumping, livestock classes for sheep and cattle and showing classes.

The first official show of the Thame Agricultural Association was held in October 1888, but the origins started more than 30 years earlier.

The event took on the role of being Oxfordshire's county show after the demise of the separate event held at Oxford Airport.
