Comments (1)A CHURCH is offering voice-training courses to young people who join its choir.
St Mary's Church, Banbury, is looking for boys and girls aged seven to 11. Director of music Fred Riches said: "We are asking young people to help us maintain a centuries-old tradition.
"Those who take up the offer could begin a hobby that could last a lifetime."
The choir is affiliated to the Royal School of Church Music and Mr Riches, along with organist Wendy Green, train the young singers in the skills of singing and musicianship.
The next course begins on Friday, February 2, from 7.15pm to 8.15pm. Call Mr Riches on 01295 270371.
