PUPILS and staff at the Sibford School in Banbury have raised more than £6,000 for charity with a ball and auction.
More than 200 people attended an Oscar-themed ball at the school near Banbury which raised funds for the charity ROSY – Respite nursing for Oxfordshire’s Sick Youngsters.
The ball raised £6,400 through tickets and an auction which saw winners receive a four-course gourmet meal for six, a tour of the Mercedes AMG Petronas factory in Brackley and festival tickets.
Organising committee chairwoman Amanda Forster-Searle said: “It was a fabulous evening. The auction was amazing and I’m delighted we were able to raise so much for such a worthwhile charity.”
