OXFORD MAGISTRATES

1. Ann Rooney, 28, of Field Avenue, Oxford, admitted stealing meat and cleaning products worth £37 from Swift Co-op Ltd on Banbury Road, Kidlington, on March 6. Also admitted committing a further offence while subject to a conditional discharge for 12 months imposed by Oxford Magistrates’ Court on February 7 for assault by beating. Fined £125 and told to pay £18.50 compensation, a £20 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.

2. Laura Murray-White, 35, of Fieldfare Close, Bicester, admitted drink-driving on Islip Road, Bletchington, near Kidlington, on May 14. Had 83 microgrammes of alcohol in 100ml of breath, above the legal limit of 35 microgrammes. Given a 20-month driving ban and fined £375. Also told to pay a £38 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.

3. Louie Withers, 25, of Cuddesdon Way, Oxford, admitted causing criminal damage to a bedroom door belonging to Oxford City Council on February 8 in Warburg Crescent, Oxford. Given a 14-day prison sentence because of fear caused to occupier of address and his previous convictions.

4. Aron Gibson, 33, of O’Hanlon House, Luther Street, Oxford, admitted stealing four fillets and two rump steaks worth £65 from Marks & Spencer in Oxford Railway Station, Park End Street, Oxford, between May 25 and May 29. Community order made with drug rehabilitation requirement for six months and supervision requirement for nine months. Told to pay £65 compensation.

5. Piers Collen, 26, of Thame Road, Warborough, near Wallingford, admitted possessing cannabis, a Class B drug, at Britwell Hill, Britwell Salome, Watlington, on April 2. Also admitted committing a further offence while subject to a conditional discharge for eight months imposed by Oxford Magistrates’ Court on November 5. Fined £150 and told to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.

6. Michael Gardner, 24, of The Lees, Faringdon, admitted possessing heroin, a Class A drug, in Faringdon on March 18. Fined £200 and told to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.

7. Norman Gourley, 61, of no fixed address, admitted stealing a bottle of whisky and meat products worth £29.27 from Waitrose in Abbey Close, Abingdon, on May 22. Also admitted committing a further offence while subject to a conditional discharge for 12 months made on March 18 by Oxford Magistrates’ Court for criminal damage. Fined £60 and told to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge.

8. Conor Redrup, 19, of Riders Way, Chinnor, admitted drink-driving in Thame on April 18. Had 59 microgrammes of alcohol in 100ml of breath, above the legal limit of 35 microgrammes. Given an 18-month driving ban and fined £200. Told to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.

9. Andrew Richardson, 37, of Old School Close, Caversfield, near Bicester, admitted stealing a chocolate bar worth £2.39 from Co-op in Bury Street, Abingdon, on May 7. Fined £100 and told to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge.

10. Stephen Rushmer, 49, of Colwell Drive, Headington, Oxford, admitted being drunk and disorderly in a public place in Abingdon on May 22. Also admitted being drunk and disorderly in Abingdon on another occasion on May 22. Fined £160 and told to pay a £20 victims' surcharge.

11. Ashley Nimmo, 25, of Speedwell Street, Oxford, admitted breaching an Anti-Social Behaviour Order in Oxford city centre by begging in a public place on April 16. Also admitted committing a further offence while subject to a conditional discharge for 12 months made by Oxford Magistrates’ Court on July 4 for begging. Given a 20-week prison sentence, suspended for 18 months, because of persistent and petty offending and blatant breaches of court orders.

12. Stephen Wilson, 43, of O’Hanlon House, Luther Street, Oxford, admitted stealing a handbag and contents from a woman in Bills Restaurant, St Michael’s Street, Oxford, on November 16. Also admitted committing a further offence during the period of a suspended prison sentence made by Oxford Magistrates’ Court on October 3 for two counts of theft. Community order made with a 12-week curfew requirement and prohibited-activity requirement, namely not to be intoxicated for 12 weeks. Suspended sentence varied so it is now 32 weeks, suspended for 24 months, with a drug rehabilitation requirement for 12 months and a supervision requirement for 24 months.

13. Terence Baker, 55, of Conifer Close, Oxford, convicted of using a mobile phone while driving in Oxpens Road, Oxford, on September 13. Fined £200 and told to pay a £20 victims' surcharge and £650 costs. Given three points on his driving licence.

14. Jason Danvers, 41, of East Avenue, Oxford, admitted possessing cannabis, a Class B drug, heroin, a Class A drug, crack cocaine, a Class A drug, and two counts of possessing diazepam, a Class C drug, in Oxford, on March 22. Community order made with six-month drug rehabilitation requirement and nine-month supervision requirement.

15. Declan Jardine, 19, of Acremead Road, Wheatley, near Oxford, admitted possessing cannabis, a Class B drug, in Nightingale Avenue, Blackbird Leys, Oxford on April 16. Given a six-month conditional discharge and told to pay a £15 victims’ surcharge.

16. Shaun Pearce, 43, of Croft Road, Marston, Oxford, admitted possessing cannabis, a Class B drug, in Grays Road, Oxford, on February 24. Given a nine-month conditional discharge and told to pay a £15 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.

17. Alastair McNish, 54, of The Oval, Rose Hill, Oxford, admitted stealing three cans of beer worth £5.19 from Co-op in Cowley Road, Oxford, on May 23 and also admitted committing a further offence while subject to a conditional discharge for 18 months imposed on May 23 at Banbury Magistrates' Court for theft. Fined £50 and told to pay a £20 victims' surcharge.

18. James Garden, 65, of no fixed address, admitted being drunk in a public place in Market Place, Woodstock, on May 25. Fined £75 and told to pay a £15 victims’ surcharge and £25 costs.

19. Christopher Knowles, 37, of no fixed address, admitted stealing a glass punch hammer from a motor vehicle in The Redlands Centre, Neithrop Avenue, Banbury, between May 9 and May 12. Given a 12-week prison sentence, suspended for 12 months, and told to pay £509.39 compensation.
