Tony Williams, 33, of Jericho Street, Oxford, admitted shoplifting a bottle of Cognac worth £25 from Tesco in Cowley Road, Oxford, on March 17. Fined £35 and told to pay £25 compensation, a £20 victims’ surcharge and £40 costs.

Julian Gunnett, 38, of Wilsdon Way, Kidlington, admitted possession of cannabis, a Class B drug, at Oxford Magistrates’ Court in Speedwell Street, Oxford, on March 28. Given a 12-month conditional discharge and told to pay a £15 victims’ surcharge and £40 costs.

Harry Loveridge, 25, of Ten Acre Park Homes, Grenoble Road, Blackbird Leys, Oxford, admitted possession of cannabis in Sandy Lane, Oxford, on February 20. Fined £80 and told to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £40 costs.

Scott Walsh, 25, of Waynflete Road, Barton, admitted drink drinking in Banbury Road, Oxford, on March 28. Had 94 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath, above the legal limit of 35 micrograms. Community order made and told to do 50 hours of unpaid community work. Also told to pay a £60 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Banned from driving for two years.

James Ewins, 30, of Stanway Road, Headington, Oxford, admitted damaging a 32” television worth £200 in Stanway Road, Headington, Oxford, between January 23 and January 24. Also admitted assault in Stanway Road, Headington, Oxford, on December 23. Sentenced to prison for 10 weeks and restraining order made.

Joseph Foxon, 20, of Merton, Bicester, convicted of obstructing or resisting a police constable in the execution of his duty in Sheep Street, Bicester, on August 31. Given a 12-month conditional discharge and told to pay a £15 victims’ surcharge and £250 costs.

Amanda Kingston, 59, of Pennywell Drive, Oxford, admitted dishonestly failing to promptly notify the Department for Work and Pensions of changes in her circumstances between November 2, 2009 and February 10, 2010. Admitted making a false representation to the Department for Work and Pensions on February 10, 2010. Also admitted dishonestly failing to promptly notify Oxford City Council of changes of circumstances between November 16, 2009 and July 1, 2013. Fined a total of £500 and told to pay a £50 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.

Mohammed Najadi, 26, of St Clement’s Street, Oxford, admitted shoplifting two bottles of Jack Daniels worth a total of £60 from Tesco in Cowley Road, Oxford, on April 5. Told to pay £60 compensation.

Richard Steele, 43, of Morris Crescent, Oxford, admitted possession of one white rock of cocaine, a Class A drug, in Oxford on February 3. Fined £200 and told to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.

Grant Tutty, 24, of Mortimer Drive, Marston, Oxford, admitted two counts of assault by beating in Oxford on December 18 against two separate victims. Fined £75 and told to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.

Rachel Vere-Denning, 45 of Hinton Waldrist, near Faringdon, admitted speeding in Marlow Road, Henley-on-Thames, on September 12 at a speed in excess of 30mph. Fined £100 and told to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge. Given three points on driving licence.

Sean Gibson, 26, of Peat Moors, Headington, admitted interfering with a motor vehicle with the intention of stealing it in Headington, Oxford, on March 3. Fined £380 and told to pay a £38 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.

Thomas Dark, 40, of Nether Kiddington, near Woodstock, admitted speeding on the A34 near Wytham on September 12 at a speed in excess of 50mph. Fined £400 and told to pay a £40 victims’ surcharge and £65 costs. Given five points on driving licence.

Anthony Garlick, 56, of Greenmere, Brightwell-Cum-Sotwell, near Wallingford, admitted speeding in Wallingford Road, Shillingford, on October 25, at a speed in excess of 30mph. Fined £80 and told to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and given three points on driving licence.

Pervez Ahmed, 38, of Cumberland Road, Oxford, admitted possessing a small amount of heroin, a Class A drug, in Oxford on April 4. Given an 18-month conditional discharge and told to pay a £15 victims’ surcharge and £40 costs.

Jamie Weaving, 28, of Springfield Road, Wantage, admitted possessing cannabis, a Class B drug, in Reeds Close, Wantage, on March 21. Daniel Westlake, 20, of Marlborough Road, Oxford, admitted driving while disqualified, driving without insurance and taking a vehicle without consent in Whitehouse Road, Oxford, on April 14. Given a 12-week jail sentence because the offence was committed one week after his release from prison and he has a very bad record of offending.
