Air pollution levels are expected to return to low levels today. The county was warned this week about high levels of pollution but the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs said levels should return to normal today.
South Central Ambulance Service spokesman Matt George said paramedics had seen an increase in calls to people with respiratory problems from Monday. The high levels are thought to have been caused by easterly winds bringing in pollutants from Europe as well local dust from the Sahara.
