People convicted of offences at magistrates' courts in Oxfordshire recently:

  • Jessica Tustain, 21, of Howard Road, Banbury admitted shoplifting cosmetics worth £33.38 from Boots Chemist in Castle Quay, Banbury on January 13. Community order made with drug rehabilitation and supervision requirements. Told to pay a £60 victims’ surcharge.
  • Ashley Day, 29, of no fixed abode, admitted using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour or disorderly behaviour within the hearing or sight of a person likely to be caused harassment, alarm or distress in St Mary’s Church, Horse Fair, Banbury on November 11. Given an 18-month conditional discharge. Told to pay a £15 victims’ surcharge, and £85 costs.
  • Scott Wood, 27, of Manorsfield Road, Bicester convicted of allowing a vehicle to wait on a road when waiting was prohibited in Hanover Gardens, Bicester on June 18. Fined £60, a £20 victims’ surcharge, and £85 costs.
  • Christopher Morton, 31, of Laurel Close, Chalgrove admitted breaking the 20mph speed limit in Morrell Avenue, Oxford on September 4. Fined £265, a £27 victims’ surcharge, and £65 costs. Licence endorsed with five points.
  • Joshua Goble, 18, of Downside End, Risinghurst, admitted drink driving on Oxford Road, Thame on February 1. Had 72 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, over the legal limit of 35 mg. Fined £125 and ordered to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Banned from driving for 20 months.
  • Antony Hamilton, 49, of St Martins Road, Oxford, admitted drink driving on Abingdon Road, Oxford, on February 2. Had 71 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath over the legal limit of 35 mg. Fined £200 and ordered to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Banned from driving for 40 months.
  • Hans Raj, 58, of James Wolfe Road, Oxford, admitted failing to provide a specimen of urine for analysis to police in Abingdon on January 31. Fined £400 and ordered to pay a £40 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Banned from driving for 12 months.
  • Steven Tolley, 51, of The Avenue, Kennington, admitted drink driving on Kennington Road, Radley, on February 1. Had 115 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, over the legal limit of 35 mg. Given a community order requiring 100 hours unpaid work in 12 months. Ordered to pay a £60 surcharge and £85 costs. Banned from driving for 44 months.
  • Shaun Smith, 25, of no fixed address, being a registered sex offender, admitted failing to supply details of his current address within three days of leaving his last address, in Ducklington, while a suspended sentence for sexual assault was re-activated because of he committed a further offence. Also admitted causing criminal damage to a door at Ducklington on February 16. Given an 18-week prison sentence. There was no seperate offence for committing a further offence while subject to a conditional discharge for assault.
  • Crimildo Pinheiro, 39, of Marsh Road, Oxford, admitted assaulting a woman by beating her on December 6 in Oxford. Given a community order with 60 hours of unpaid work in the next 12 months. He was ordered to pay a £60 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.
  • Craig Westland, 21, of Fairfield Place, Abingdon admitted possessing ketamine, a Class C drug, and a knuckle duster in North Carlton, Lincolnshire, on December 1. Given a community order with 60 hours unpaid work in the next 12 months and ordered to pay a £60 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.
  • Kevin Banks, 37, of Leiden Road, Headington, Oxford admitted shoplifting meat worth £51.02 from Cooperative in Atkyns Road, Headington, Oxford on December 27. Fined £80 and told to pay compensation of £51.02.
  • Neil Benham, 41, of Clarks Row, Oxford admitted breaching a restraining order at Reading between March 15 and November 22. Given a four-week prison sentence suspended for 12 months. Told to pay an £80 victims’ surcharge.
  • John Joyce, 24, of Redbridge Hollow, Old Abingdon Road, Oxford admitted stealing two scientific lasers worth £100 from the Physical Chemistry Laboratory in South Parks Road, Oxford on November 13. He was given a 12-month conditional discharge, told to pay a £15 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.
  • Joanne Webb, 37, of Foresters Tower, Wood Farm Road, Headington, Oxford admitted shoplifting a DVD worth £14 from Primark in Westgate, Oxford on January 20. Also stole four toy trains worth £49.96 from Boswells in Broad Street, Oxford on January 20. Given a 12-month conditional discharge. Told to pay a £15 victims’ surcharge and £35 costs.
  • Ross Clark, 23, of Cuddesdon Way, Oxford admitted drink driving a scooter in Oxford Retail Park, Cowley on February 4. Had 90 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath, above the legal limit of 35 micrograms. Also admitted driving without insurance or a licence. Community order made and told to do 60 hours of unpaid community work in the next 12 months. Told to pay a £60 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Banned from driving for 24 months.
  • Luke Everley, 19, of Poplar Grove, Kennington admitted possession of cannabis in Abingdon on January 28. Given a six-month conditional discharge. Told to pay a £15 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.
  • Roger Jennings, 28, of Mongewell, Wallingford admitted possession of ketamine in Wallingford on September 12. Given a 12-month conditional discharge and told to pay a £15 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.
  • Toby Mole, 28, of Park Town, Oxford, admitted possessing cannabis, a Class B drug, in Warneford Lane, Headington, on September 14. Given a 12-month conditional discharge and told to pay a £15 victims’ surcharge and £40 costs.
  • Delroy Johns, 38, of Bulan Road, Headington, Oxford, admitted stealing clothing from Zara in the Clarendon Centre, Cornmarket Street, Oxford, worth £225.96 on January 3. Community order made with drug rehabilitation requirement for six months and supervision requirement for 12 months.
  • Leah Bennett, 26, of Palmer Road, Faringdon, admitted failing to attend a follow-up assessment in Cowley Road, Oxford, on November 21 following a test for Class A drugs. Fined £50 and told to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge.
  • Michael English, 20, of Park Way, Marston, Oxford, admitted using abusive, threatening or insulting words or behaviour or disorderly behaviour within the hearing or sight of someone likely to be caused harassment, alarm or distress in Oxford on December 12. Fined £100 and told to pay £45 compensation, a £20 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.
  • Declan Nash, 21, of HMP Bullingdon, near Bicester, admitted two counts of causing criminal damage to a car window on August 27 in Sandy Lane, Oxford, and to a car roof on August 21 in Sandy Lane, Oxford. Fined £200 and told to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge.
  • Graham Hoiser, 48, of Waverley Avenue, Kidlington, admitted driving a vehicle weighing more than three tonnes over a weight-restricted bridge in Thame on June 19. Fined £500 and ordered to pay a £50 victims’ surcharge and £130 costs.
  • James Grant, 24, of Poplar Grove, Kennington, admitted failing to provide police with a specimen of breath for analysis on Station Road, Grove, on November 1. Fined £110 and ordered to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Banned from driving for 12 months.
