European referendum ‘will stop firms investing’

Banbury Cake: Anneliese Dodds Anneliese Dodds

A LABOUR candidate in the South East consituency for the European Parliament elections in May has said the prospect of a referendum on the UK’s membership of the EU creates uncertainty for companies looking to invest in Oxfordshire.

Anneliese Dodds, from Oxford, was speaking after visiting the Siemens factory in Eynsham this week.

She said: “We need high-quality manufacturing jobs here in Oxfordshire and across the South East.

“We should be encouraging more of these kinds of jobs here. Instead, we are creating uncertainty, which is harmful to businesses like Siemens looking to make long-term, multi-billion-pound investment decisions.”

So being a true democrat then Ms Dodds you would deny the British Public a Referendum on our continued membership of the EU?
I think it fair that you as a spokesperson for the LABOUR PARTY should make it clear to the public if this is the Policy of your party!

I don't expect anyone on the EU gravy train, drinking out of that very large trough is ever going to welcome an EU referendum

Of course she doesn't want a referendum! Why would she want to give anyone the opportunity of her being given a ticket to ride on the biggest gravy train ever! Being a Euro MP is a surefire route to a cushy salary, unlimited expenses, and almost no questions asked (unlike our Westminster MPs who now are scrutinised).
