A Twitter feed has been set up to show the activity of the police helicopter covering Oxfordshire.

The account for the National Police Air Service helicopter, which is based at RAF Benson, can be found by searching “NPAS_Benson” on Twitter.

The feed is due to go live on February 25.

Brilliant idea - not. Now thieves can get a heads up to as where the copper chopper is and stay one step ahead of it via the twitter feed on their stolen mobiles.

Pretty sure it'll be so local residents know why they're being kept awake or having their barbecue disturbed. It isn't difficult to tell where they are, they're not particularly stealthy.

That twitter feed has been live since November last year.. Nothing much was happening on it, will be good to see why they feel the need to (Intimidate?) Law abiding people in our area by swooping past at speed and shining their spotlight randomly into peoples gardens before doing a loop and speeding off again.
