BANBURY MAGISTRATES

Alex Timms, 25, from Taphouse Avenue, Witney, admitted possessing one gram of cocaine, a class A drug, in Corn Street, Witney, on December 26. Fined £90 and ordered to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.

Manasif Hussain, 27, of Queen’s Road, Banbury, admitted criminally damaging a perspex cage on a police van in Banbury on December 3. Given a six-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £189.24 compensation, a £15 victims’ surcharge and £189 costs.

Barney Foster, 43, of Withycombe Drive, Banbury, admitted using threatening words or behaviour to cause harassment, alarm or distress in Bloxham Road, Banbury, on Christmas Eve, and causing £100 of criminal damage to a cell at Banbury Police Station in Warwick Road on Christmas Day. Fined a total of £480 and ordered to pay an £117 victims’ surcharge and £96 compensation for damaging the cell.

Jaroslaw Piotrowski, 27, from Woodford Mill, Mill Street, Witney, was convicted of speeding above the 30mph limit on Ducklington Lane, Witney, on May 29. Fined £160 and ordered to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Licence endorsed with six points.

Attiq Akhtar, 20, of Fergusson Road, Banbury, admitted using or threatening to use unlawful violence in Pepper Alley, Banbury, on March 29. Given a community order requiring participation in a Thinking Skills programme for five days. Ordered to pay a £60 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.

Charles Holmes, 41, of St Mary’s Road, Adderbury, near Banbury, admitted failing to give information relating to the identification of a driver alleged to have been guilty of an offence between June 4 and July 2 in Banbury. Fined £480 and ordered to pay a £48 victims’ surcharge. Ordered to pay £80 costs and licence endorsed with six points.

Christopher Soden, 48, of The Cedars, Benson, near Wallingford, admitted speeding over the 30mph limit on Wallingford Road, Shillingford, on July 10. Fined £220 and ordered to pay a £22 victims’ surcharge and £65 costs. Licence endorsed with four points.

Jennifer Sampson, 20, of Glyme Close, Woodstock, admitted drink-driving in Bicester Road, Kidlington, on December 21. Had 73 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath, above the legal limit of 35 micrograms. Fined £260, a £26 victims’ surcharge, and £85 costs. Banned from driving for 18 months.

Darren Shadbolt, 38, of Ruscote Avenue, Banbury, admitted criminal damage to a mirror in Thornbury Rise, Banbury on December 4. Also admitted using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour likely to cause harassment alarm or distress. Fined £200, a £20 victims’ surcharge, and £85 costs.

Andrew Batton, 30, of Red Roll Close, Banbury, admitted shoplifting food worth £4 from the Co-op in Banbury on December 22 and again on December 20. He was fined £50 and must pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £4 compensation.

OXFORD MAGISTRATES

Mark Collins, 39, of St Mary’s, Wantage, convicted of using threatening, abusive, or insulting words or behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress in Wantage on August 3. Also convicted of possession of heroin. He was fined a total of £140, a with a £20 victims’ surcharge, and £250 costs.

Ashcon Moravag-Oskooie, 29, of Collins Street, Oxford, admitted being drunk and disorderly in Cornmarket Street, Oxford on September 21. Fined £90, a £20 victims’ surcharge, and £200 costs.

Patrick Grant, 44, of Mill Paddock, Letcombe Regis, Wantage admitted breaching a non-molestat,ion order in Wasborough Avenue, Wantage between November 5 and November 6 after sending seven text messages and making two phone calls. Restraining order made. Fined £270, a £27 victims’ surcharge, and £100 costs.

Nigel Napier, 53, of George Moore Close, Oxford, admitted stealing a bottle of wine worth £6 from Iceland in Templars Square, Cowley, Oxford, on November 18. Fined £60 and told to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.

Karen Tuckey, 44, of Windrush Close, Grove, Wantage, convicted of harassment without violence in Queens Court, Newbury, Berkshire, between May 23 and July 31 by sending over 500 text messages to one person and making numerous unwanted phone calls. Also admitted committing a further offence while subject to a conditional discharge made on January 10 last year at Oxford Magistrates’ Court for harassment without violence. Community order made with supervision requirement and told to pay a £60 victims’ surcharge and £400 costs. Restraining order made.

Martin Coombs, 33, of Alvescot, near Bampton, admitted driving without insurance on the A40 in Witney on July 24. Fined £200 and told to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge, a £20 victims’ surcharge and £65 costs. Also given six points on his driving licence.

Lee Crawford, 34, of Bagley Close, Kennington, Oxford, convicted of assault in Oxford on September 25. Given a 12-week prison sentence because it was a violent, sustained assault involving headbutting and strangulation, the offence was in breach of trust, and he showed no remorse. Restraining order made.

Sean Jones, 51, of Palmer Road, Headington, Oxford, admitted causing criminal damage to a Peugeot 206 on January 8. Also admitted harassment which created a fear of violence between January 1 and January 8 in Oxford by sending threatening text messages and turning up at his victim’s home. Community order made with three-month curfew requirement and told to pay £250 compensation, a £60 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.

Tom Wearing, 20, of no fixed address, admitted stealing tracksuit trousers and a top worth £29.98 from New Look in Witney on October 4 and a case of lager and a sports drink worth £16.37 from Tesco on October 9. Also admitted failing to surrender to Oxford Magistrates’ Court on October 24 and committing a further offence while subject to a conditional discharge made on July 16 for theft. Fined £120 and told to pay £45 compensation.

Dua Noah, 25, of Shirley Place, Oxford, admitted being drunk and disorderly in Becket Street, Oxford, on August 26, and obstructing or resisting Pc Peter Ciechan and Pc Ricard Barrow-Grint in the execution of their duty in Oxford on August 28. Fined £100 and told to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £100 costs.

Scott Hadlow, 34, of Luther Street, Oxford, admitted assault by beating in Park End Street, Oxford, on September 19. Given a six-week prison sentence because of his previous convictions and as it was an unprovoked attack.

Jason Jardin-Cullen, 24, of Winston Walk, Woodstock, admitted drink driving, driving without insurance and a licence on the A4260 in Banbury on July 18. Also admitted aggravated vehicle taking in Randolph Avenue, Woodstock, on the same date and failing to surrender to magistrates on September 5. Given 12 weeks in prison suspended for 12 months with 24 months supervision, 40 hours unpaid work and a 36-month driving ban. Told to pay an £80 victims’ surcharge and £100 costs.

Martin Radbourne, 32, of West Court, West Street, Oxford, admitted stealing a bicycle from Oxford Railway Station in Park End Street, Oxford, on December 28. Also admitted committing a further offence while subject to suspended sentences made on October 10 and October 16 for theft and handling stolen goods. He was given a four-week prison sentence because of an offence committed while on two suspended sentences.

Michelle Archer, 44, of Beeching Way, Wallingford, admitted harassment without violence on December 17 and 18 in Beeching Way, Wallingford, by sending numerous abusive text messages. She was given a 12-month conditional discharge and told to pay a £15 victims’ surcharge and £45 costs.
