A NEW fundraising campaign has been launched by Katharine House Hospice.

The charity, based in Adderbury near Banbury, wants supporters to hold a coffee morning or afternoon tea in return for donations to the hospice.

Care for a Cuppa will run between Saturday, March 1 and Sunday, March 9.

Events can be held at work, at school or at home and participants will be sent a fundraising pack.

Sarah Brennan, community fundraiser, said: “Why not brighten up the winter months by taking part in Care for a Cuppa? It can be as big or small as you like. Simply ask your guests to give a donation for tea, coffee or cake. You could even hold a raffle or sweepstake at your event for something a bit different.

“It’s not just individuals who can hold a Care for a Cuppa. We would to hear from local cafés, pubs and restaurants who would like to hold events, or maybe even a Care for a Curry or Care for a Cocktail.

“You could donate £1 for every curry or cocktail purchased during Care for a Cuppa week. Possibilities are endless.”
