A TEENAGER was grabbed while walking in an alleyway in Banbury.

The 19-year-old woman was walking between Fiennes Road and Edmunds Road at about 6.10pm on Saturday.

A man approached her from behind then grabbed and pulled her backwards. She screamed and he ran off.

The attacker is described as white or light skinned with an average build and short brown hair. He was wearing grey cotton jogging bottoms and a hip-length black or dark navy jacket with a slight sheen to it.

Police say they are particularly keen to speak to a man seen walking in the opposite direction down the alleyway towards Mold Crescent and two teenagers, a man in a white hooded top and a girl in a pink hooded top, who crossed from the direction of Fiennes Road and went through the gate towards Princess Diana Park.

Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Beth Cocker on 101.

Meanwhile, details have been released about a separate incident in which a woman in her thirties was sexually assaulted while walking in Didcot before Christmas.

The woman was walking in the alleyway between Station Road and Cronshaw Close at around 3.30pm on December 16 when a man approached her and touched her inappropriately.

Police say the woman fought back and the assailant ran off.

The man is described as Asian, aged between 24 and 31 and around 6ft. He has a medium to stocky build and chubby cheeks with dark, tightly curled hair and was wearing a dark jacket with a fur collar and beige trousers.

A man answering this description was seen on Station Road, Didcot on January 9.

Det Con Thomas Smalley said: “If anyone recognises the man from the description or anyone who may have seen the offender near Station Road or Cronshaw Close since that time then we would ask them to call us as a matter of urgency.

“He has been spotted near the location on at least one other occasion.”
