A man had part of his ear bitten off in an attack at a taxi rank on Christmas Day.
A 19-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of assault after the incident near Banbury Cross between 2.30am and 3am.
He was been released on bail until February 13.
Police, who only released details of the attack at the weekend, said the victim sustained injuries to his ear and was given stitches at the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford. If you have any information contact PC Ben Hughes-Martin via the Thames Valley Police Enquiry Centre on 101.
