  • Eleanore Cummings, 22, of Down End, Hook Norton, was convicted of travelling on a CrossCountry rail service between Coventry and Banbury on June 25 without paying the £11.60 fare. Fined £400 and ordered to pay back the £11.60 as well as £125 costs.
  • Sarah Ahmed, 37, of Evenlode Tower, Blackbird Leys Road, Oxford, was convicted of using a colour television without a licence at home on September 16. Fined £200 and ordered to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £90 costs.
  • Paul Hopkins, 38, of Bridge Street, Banbury, admitted stealing six DVDs worth £40 from Banbury Co-op on November 7, and four DVDs worth £40 from the same Co-op on November 19. Given a community order with a four-week curfew between 7pm and 7am which began on December 11. Also ordered to pay £80 compensation and a £60 victims’ surcharge.
  • Sabrina Sells, 30, of Bridge Street, Banbury, admitted stealing nine DVDs worth £83.91 from Middleton Road Co-op, Banbury, on November 18 and dishonestly receiving four stolen DVDs worth £40 stolen from Burchester Place Co-op, on November 19. Given a community order requiring a Bridge to Employment programme for five days. Also ordered to pay a £60 victims’ surcharge, £20 costs and £83.91 compensation.
