Oxford Mail reader Amy Oliver took this dramatic picture of lightning hitting a mast on top of Thames Valley Police’s headquarters building in Kidlington.
Lightning bolts were caught on camera during thunderstorms across Oxfordshire by eagle-eyed Oxford Mail readers.
Snapshots captured overnight from Tuesday to Wednesday in Kidlington and Abingdon included a picture by Amy Oliver of lightning hitting the mast at Thames Valley Police’s headquarters in Kidlington.
Police spokesman Francine Rodrigues said no damage was done to the mast, which has been hit by lightning before.
Oxfordshire’s emergency services said they were not called to any lightning-related incidents.
