THE Cornerstone Arts Centre in Didcot is about to mark its fifth anniversary.

Following a jazz night on Friday, a day of events for the whole family is being staged on Saturday, from 10am to midnight.

There will be a treasure hunt, starting from 10am, with hidden performers all over the building who will spring into action as visitors approach.

Local performer Rebecca Mordan will be the mistress of ceremonies.

Cornerstone spokesman Stephen Birch said: “She will be welcoming and directing people around the building with her team of tour guides.

“Rebecca and her theatre group the Scary Little Girls have just returned from their sell-out show in Edinburgh.

“Throughout the day there will be events happening both inside and outside the building. This is a one-off spectacular, a chance to discover what Cornerstone is all about.

“If you have been before but not come for a while, or if you have ever wondered what happens inside but never been in, now is your chance to see exactly what goes on.

“There is no excuse not to come and in and have a look, have a go or try something out, as all the activities and events on Saturday are free.”

From 6pm on Friday, jazz singer Alice Francis will perform her show to get the celebrations underway at the centre in Station Road. Tickets cost £15.
