Banbury MP Sir Tony Baldry has questioned Prime Minister David Cameron in the Commons over the continuing civil war in Syria.

Conservative Sir Tony asked the Prime Minister when he expected the United Nations to agree to a resolution to gain “unfettered humanitarian access” to the country and if there could be “any justifiable” reason for any country opposing this.

Mr Cameron, who lost a vote on possible military action last month, said on Monday: “I would very much hope that countries would not oppose such a motion.”

A UN security council resolution could be needed if Syria refused to give access, he said.
