Young apprentices through to the next round
5:00pm Thursday 22nd August 2013 in News
Two apprentices have landed permanent jobs with a firm of solicitors.
Lauren Sole, 19, will take up a full-time role with Brethertons in Banbury when her year-long legal apprenticeship ends in six months’ time.
The former Banbury School pupil, who lives in the town, said: “I was one of the first legal apprentices in the country.
“It’s a great way to get an opportunity to work in a law firm and start my professional qualifications.
“The qualification I am doing during my apprenticeship is the first step that could lead to me qualifying as a solicitor one day, I hope.”
Sarah Mobbs, 17, who also went to Banbury School and lives in Banbury, completes a business administration apprenticeship next month and will also stay on.
She said: “I have learned so much about working in an office and my responsibilities have increased during my apprenticeship.
“I am delighted I have been given a permanent role at Brethertons and I am keen to continue to study for further qualifications.”
Brethertons, which also has offices in Bicester, also offers apprenticeships in finance and sales and marketing.
