PEOPLE CONVICTED OF OFFENCES AT MAGISTRATES’ COURTS AROUND THE COUNTY RECENTLY

BANBURY

Andrew Marshall, 27, of Samuelson Court, Banbury, admitted stealing an electric toothbrush and beauty products worth £75 from Wilkinsons in Bridge Street, Banbury, while subject to a six-month suspended sentence. Given 24-week prison sentence. Also admitted stealing food and alcohol worth £533.27 from the Co-operative Store in Chipping Norton on December 24 last year. Given consecutive six-week prison sentence.

Leigh Travers, 23, of Chandlers Court, Appleford Drive, Carterton, admitted obstructing a police officer in the execution of their duty on November 24 last year outside the Chequers pub in Corn Street, Witney. Fined £70 and told to pay £20 victims’ surcharge and costs of £20.

Amy Willey, 29, of Red Poll Close, Banbury, admitted stealing three bottles of Champagne worth £81.97 from a Co-operative shop in Chatsworth Drive, Banbury, on August 13 last year. Given conditional discharge for 12 months and told to pay £81.97 compensation.

Jason Coffee, 42, of Park Close, Hanwell, Banbury, admitted assault by beating at West Bar Street, Banbury, on July 6 last year. Fined £100 and told to pay £15 victims’ surcharge and costs of £150.

OXFORD

Andrew Peart, 46, Liddiard Close, Kennington, Oxford, admitted drink-driving on November 20 on Banbury Road, Bicester. Fined £770, told to pay a victims’ surcharge of £77 and costs of £85. Banned from driving for 18 months.

Trevor Price, 60, of Alchester Terrace, Bicester, admitted driving without due care and attention on October 3 last year in Bicester Road, Kidlington. Fined £83 and told to pay victims’ surcharge of £20 and £85 costs. Given three points on licence.

Matthew Chapman, 23, of Hailes Gardens, Bicester, admitted drink-driving on Mallards Way, Bicester, on July 4 last year. Had 82 micrograms of alcohol to 100 millilitres of breath, above the limit of 35 micrograms. fined £110 and told to pay victims’ surcharge of 315 and £40 costs. Given 20-month driving ban.

Luke Newell, 37, of O’Hanlon House, Oxford, admitted stealing six bottles of alcohol worth £130.54 from the Co-operative Store in Templars Square, Cowley, Oxford, on January 10 this year. Also admitted committing an offence while subject to a 12-month conditional discharge imposed on December 11 last year and a community order made on October 18 last year. Given two-month prison sentence.

Alan Lobb, 29, of The Glebe, Culham, near Abingdon, admitted assaulting two police constables in the execution of their duty on August 9 in Wallingford. Community order made with drug rehabilitation and supervision requirements. Told to make two compensation payments of £150.

Aaron Gibson, 32, Kibble Close, Didcot, admitted stealing four cans of lager worth £6.04 from a Co-operative Store in Broadway, Didcot, on January 4 this year. Community order made with supervision requirement for six months. Told to pay £6.04 compensation and £60 victims’ surcharge.

Brandon Morris, 22, of Sorrell Road, Oxford, admitted driving without insurance on Morrell Avenue, Oxford, on January 22 this year. Fined £100 and told to pay £20 victims’ surcharge. Three points added to licence.

Jamie Howe, 19, of Towling Road, Faringdon, admitted causing criminal damage to the front door of a house in Hill View, Uffington, worth £600 on October 27 this year. Community order made with alcohol course requirement. Told to pay compensation of £100, victims’ surcharge of £600, and costs of £85.

Tapiwua Manhando, 27, Goodey Close, Littlemore, admitted drink-driving, driving while disqualified and driving without insurance in Bartlemas Road, Oxford, on January 6 this year. Had 68 micrograms of alcohol to 100 millilitres of breath, above the limit of 35 micrograms. Community order made with requirement for 240 hours of unpaid work. Told to pay costs of £85 and given 36 month driving ban.

Grant Caistor, 23, of Kiln Avenue, Chinnor, admitted criminal damage to a kitchen worktop and dishwasher worth £300 at a house in Wessex Road, Didcot, on December 17 last year. Community order made with unpaid work requirement for 80 hours. Restraining order made barring entry to a property in Wessex Road. Told to pay victims’ surcharge of £60 and £85 costs.

Samantha Mcdonagh, 22, of Samphire Road, Oxford, admitted stealing alcohol from Sainsbury’s in Cowley Road, Oxford, on October 6 last year. Fined £45 and told to pay £50 compensation and £20 victims’ surcharge. Also admitted failing to surrender to the magistrates court. Fined £30.

Matthew Walton, 26, of Hensington Close, Woodstock, admitted assault by beating on October 8 in The Punch Bowl pub in Woodstock. Sent to prison for seven days. Exclusion order made barring him from entering The Punch Bowl for 12 months.

Ronnie Smith, 25, of Grunsell Close, Headington, Oxford, was convicted of assault by beating in Carterton on June 12 last year. He also admitted assaulting three police constables in the execution of their duty on the same date. Given eight-week prison sentence suspended for 12 months. Told to pay £200 compensation.

Paul Fisher, 40, of Ashcombe Crescent, Witney, admitted drink-driving in Witney in Ashcombe Crescent on January 24 this year. Had 64 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath, above the legal limit of 35 micrograms. Fined £125 and told to pay victims’ surcharge of £20 and £30 costs. Given five-year driving ban.

Kevin Devaney, 42, of Glebe Road, Didcot, admitted using abusive, threatening or insulting language in Glebe Road, Didcot, on January 9 this year. Fined £89 and told to pay victims’ surcharge of £20 and £85 costs.

Scott Goodenough, 27, of Beecham Way, Wallingford, Oxford, admitted carrying a baseball bat in a public place at Blue Mountains on May 5 last year. Given an eight-week prison sentence suspended for 12 months. Requirements for thinking skills course and supervision also made. Told to pay £85 costs. Also admitted driving without a licence or insurance in Clapcot Way, Wallingford, on May 5 last year. Fined £400 and told to pay £15 victims’ surcharge. Given six points on licence.
