A £50,000 haul of stolen horse tack went on display as police attempted to reunite the owners with the goods.

About 50 people went to view the tack at Banbury Police Station on Tuesday and 20 managed to identify 50 items as their own.

Police recovered the haul, including saddles and bridles, from a property in the Grimsbury area of Banbury in a raid last month.

Police are hoping more more people will come forward to claim their property, some of which was being put up for sale on internet auction site eBay.

Two men, aged 53 and 52, and a 53-year-old woman were arrested on suspicion of burglary and were due to answer bail yesterday.

Anyone who has had equipment stolen should call police on 101.

Dinah Harris, from Thames Valley Horsewatch, said owners should make a habit of stamping their postcode onto tack.
