Job losses as Jessops goes bust

Staff at all Jessops stores are to lose their jobs after the firm collapsed.

The national chain has stores in St Ebbe’s and George Street in Oxford, Market Place in Abingdon, Castle Quay in Banbury and Sheep Street in Bicester.

Jessops would not say how many staff it had in Oxfordshire.

Jessops have offered an alternative to the bigger mass chains and have been good at offering competivitive prices and good service.

Sorry to see them go and sympathies to yet more people being made redundant.
