Details of the repatriation of a soldier killed in Afghanistan are expected to be confirmed next week.
The Ministry of Defence yesterday named the fallen soldier as father-of-one Sapper Richard Walker, 23, from Leeds. He was shot in an apparent insider attack by a member of the Afghan National Army on Monday.
The bodies of personnel killed overseas have been repatriated to RAF Brize Norton near Carterton since September 2011.
