Snoop Dogg has claimed that he smoked marijuana in a bathroom at the White House.

The US rapper made the revelation to talk show host Jimmy Kimmel when the comedian appeared on Snoop's YouTube show GGN: The Double G News Network.

The musician is holding what appears to be a joint when Jimmy asked him: "Have you ever smoked in the White House?"

Snoop replied: "In the bathroom. Not in the White House, but in the bathroom."

He went on: "'Cause I said, 'May I used the bathroom for a second,' and they said, 'What are you going to do, a number one or a number two?'."

Jimmy asked: "Who said this, the First Lady?!"

Snoop explained: "The CIA, or the FBI. The alphabet boys.

"So I said, 'Look, when I do a number two I usually have a cigarette or I light something to get the aroma right.' They said, 'Well you know what, you can light a piece of napkin.'

"I said I'll do that - and the napkin was this," Snoop then took a long drag on the smoking joint.

The 42-year-old rapper, real name Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr, was at the US President's official residence in Washington in December for the Kennedy Centre Honours.

Snoop has always been open about his drug use and has been arrested and fined for misdemeanour marijuana possession several times, most recently in 2010.
