Sam Smith is heading to the US to see a specialist after pulling out of more dates following the discovery of a haemorrhage on his vocal cords.
The singer, 22, pulled out of the rest of his Australian tour last week, after doctors discovered the problem.
Now he has posted an image of himself looking glum, saying that he has had to cancel gigs in Japan and Manila in the Philippines too.
“Very upset about Japan and Manilla (sic) dates,” he wrote.
“I’ve just left Australia and I’m on my way to the States to see a specialist to see what to do from there… This is f***ing horrid.”
The Grammy award-winning singer recently revealed that he had been “vocally exhausted” on Instagram.
The Stay With Me singer apologised to fans who have bought tickets and said new dates would be announced, before signing off: “This kills me.”
The In The Lonely Hour tour is set to continue later in the US and Europe.
