THE Ride A Cock Horse Folk Club will celebrate its eighth birthday with the band that played at the first-ever club night in 1999.
Folk/rock group Meet on the Ledge, Un-Ledged will provide the music for the anniversary session.
Club organisers Mary and Derek Droscher: "The group has gone from strength to strength over the years performing at the Fairport Festival, the Banbury Canalside Folk Festival, and at the prestigious Birmingham Symphony Hall."
Meet On The Ledge was formed in 1992 by guitarists/vocalists Ron Holmes and Allen Maslen and grew over the years into a five-piece band.
They often play smaller venues as a trio, becoming known as Un-Ledged, with the line-up consisting of Ron Holmes, Allen Maslen, and Marion English. The event kicks off at 8pm on Wednesday, April 4 at The Mill Arts Centre in Banbury.
