Fans of rock legends Led Zeppelin are in for a treat when the country’s leading tribute band plays an entire album back to back – and more!

Whole Lotta Led come to Banbury’s Mill next Friday (May 31) with a brilliant Zep-filled extravaganza including a celebration of 40 years since Houses of the Holy was released.

The tribute band will use the second half of the gig to showcase the album in its entirety. But first they will also play a whole string of Zep songs from the back catalogue, from Whole Lotta Love to Stairway to Heaven and a selection of acoustic numbers. “Whole Lotta Led are one of the biggest tribute acts in the UK. They’re the only full-time, professional outfit dedicated to recreating the amazing songs which Led Zeppelin produced through their career,” said Shona Edwards of The Mill.

“They’ve been to The Mill several times and those who have seen them have loved this very entertaining show. Last year the band made some big changes in their line-up which have allowed them to extend their Led Zeppelin repertoire and it’s gone down a treat with UK audiences.”

In comes Lee Pryor on vocals, acoustic guitar and harmonica; David Wykeham-George on keyboards, guitar and vocals, and Charlie Hart on drums to join the remaining founders Nick Ferris on guitars and Geoff Hunt on bass and mandolin.

Geoff Hunt, who formed the band 17 years ago, has ensured the band’s ethos remains true to Zeppelin’s great music. “If you haven’t seen the band before you’ll be well impressed and if you have seen the band, you must come and witness the amazing changes,” said Hunt.

From humble beginnings this Gloucestershire band followed Led Zeppelin’s footsteps to some major venues across the land.
