Two of the most authentic tribute acts in the UK arrive at Banbury’s Mill this weekend to present two entertaining evenings of music and nostalgia.

The Modfathers – the UK’s Number 1 show dedicated to Paul Weller – take the stage on Saturday while the weekend gets off to a great start tomorrow (Friday) when the fantastic Simon and Garfunkel collection is revisited by the duo, Sounds of Simon.

“This weekend is a real feast of talent aimed at those who love the music of Paul Weller, Paul Simon and Simon and Garfunkel,” said the Mill’s programme manager Deborah Clarke.

“The Modfathers are uncannily like the real thing. Tony Brown ‘is’ Paul Weller – it’s hard to tell him from the real thing and his recreation of Weller is tremendous. “He has Weller so well observed, right down to the movements and gestures and he has backing from musicians who prove they are all massive devotees. The sound of this amazing tribute band will not disappoint Banbury’s Weller fans.

Paul Weller/Simon and Garfunkel come to The Mill on Saturday at 8.30pm. Tickets cost £10/12 – call 01295 279002
