A CENTRAL north Oxford house given a £1m-makeover is on the market for £3.25.

Talbot Lodge in Linton Road was transformed by Blenheim Palace’s construction arm Blenheim Estate Contractors.

In its first joint venture, the company teamed up with Asian-based Iconic Assets Heritage Acquisition Fund for the year-long refurbishment project.

The house was built in 1910 by NW Harrison and has two original stained glass windows at the front.

What was originally one large property has been divided into three separate houses, two of which have been sold.

Property entrepreneur Johnny Sandelson, who was an advisor for the venture, said: “We have a huge sense of pride working with Blenheim Palace on such a high-quality refurbishment.

“Blenheim Palace is not only a world heritage site but a considerable landowner in this area.”

Roger File, property director at Blenheim Palace, said: “The redevelopment of number 2 Talbot Lodge has used the best materials and craftsmanship to maintain the quality that Blenheim Palace hopes to achieve in all ventures it is associated with, this has resulted in the completion of one of the most luxurious properties in Oxford.”

Number 2 Talbot Lodge includes six bedrooms, four bathrooms, a sitting room, kitchen/dining/family room and a courtyard-style walled garden.

Mark Charter, of agents Carter Jonas, said: "Talbot Lodge is the perfect opportunity to acquire a superb, contemporary house in one of Oxford's choicest locations.”
