School has top shooters

Cokethorpe School pupils have been crowned clay pigeon shooting champions in the British Schools’ National Champions at Churchill’s Shooting Ground, in Buckinghamshire.

The team – comprising captain Michael Staples, Jordan Gillies, James Nettlefold, George Kerr, Henry Wenman and Elliott Pow – battled it out against 18 other schools.

James Nettlefold had a double victory as he also claimed the National Individual title from a field of 300.
