James May believes that he will never work with Top Gear chums Jeremy Clarkson or Richard Hammond again.
The trio originally joined forces in 2003 to present the hit BBC motoring show before other ventures such as Prime Video’s The Grand Tour.
Now that filming on the latter’s final ever episode has finished, May believes it is unlikely that the trio will unite in the future.
Speaking to Unilad this week, the presenter revealed that he wanted to leave things where they currently are between the three of them.

He said: "I think people would only really like us doing cars, despite what some people say - ‘Oh, I think you should all go off and do cooking or you should all go and do a podcast about nothing.’
“But I don’t think so, I think we should let it lie, what we did.”
This comes just a few days after the 61-year-old was spotted alongside Clarkson and Hammond enjoying a pint in the sun outside a pub.
Posting the video on his Instagram account, Clarkson added the caption which said: “I’m in a time warp.”
Clarkson has left the cars behind for now and has chosen to focus on his Diddly Squat Farm in Oxfordshire instead.
The Chipping Norton spot has become a fan favourite over the globe thanks to the hit Prime Video documentary series, Clarkson’s Farm.
Four episodes of the show’s third season starring Clarkson were released on Friday with more episodes set to come out next week.
